Solved cant find volume fir direct access

not sure if i on the right forum here lo

system message we getting when turning on the computer is, "checking file system on C: The type of the file system is ntfs cannot open volume of direct access. windows has finished checking the disk..........."

and then takes him back to login page, we can get on to alter anything else, can get onto bios F2, total tech noob here, so dont want to go clicking where i shouldnt, any ideas?:huh:

Sounds like you have hard drive problems.
I would suggest that you try to back up your stuff (if at all possible), before the hard drive fails completely, if not there already.

cant back it up as cant logon, he was on ok this am, chucked him off, this allseems to have happened since he told it to check disk, he lookin for restore disk now to see if he can use that to access it.

lmao we just found acer recovery management programme, its let us get onto windows, so hopefully we can sort it from there, and remove this disc chck thing, thanks for help tho, and we will be making back up discs as well lol
