Check Disk

I have Vista Home Premium, 32 Bit O/s. A few weeks ago, the computer started doing a complete Check Disk everytime I boot up. It says to hit any key within 10 seconds to stop the process, but no key will stop it. It takes over an hour to complete!!!!!!!

How can I stop the Check Disk from starting each time I start the computer?

You may have a problem, but not chkdsk. Your hard drive may be getting ready to die. Back up everything, then take this test.
