COD Black Ops Save and Quit = Blank Screen

I installed COD Black Ops a couple of days ago, and the game runs fine. I meet the requirements, and usually get over 35 FPS, 90% of the time. When I try to save and quit, however, the game freezes at a blank, white screen where I am unable to move the mouse away from the centre of the screen. Any suggestions?

Go to event viewer and look for errors.
