computer (not responding)

Hello All,

I am not pretty sure whether I create the thread in the right category , if not please 'admin/moderator' feel free to move this thread.

The system is having problem on running, the machine could be able to bootup to window visa ; however, after loading the window together startup application in the
system tray , the window seems not functional and needed to forced pressing power button. (prior to this, the system ran very slow )

When reopening 'computer' the window has no responding with the curculate mouse pointer all the time likewise, unable to run other applications.

After reboot, tried running malwarebyte found malwares and deleted yet after reboot, occur the same problem with window no responding .

What would actually be the cause and how to fix it, please ?

richc46, the option on services tab at "hide all Microsoft services" is unable to unchecked, could I manually uncheck all application from "Microsoft Corporation" indicated in 'Manufacturer' instead ?

Likewise , I am using avast free edition currently , do i need to uninstall avast prior to install MSE antivirus ?

You can make the scan with Avast. Based upon your post, I thought that you onlyhad Malwarebytes.

richc46, I just repeat your link again and found the caution that disable service may delete all system restore point which i would like to avoid.

I am doing image backup now , I have no idea why backup could be performing . I would run avast after this and report back .

If you are uncomfortable with Clean boot try in safe mode and give us results.
