First of all, mods feel free to move this if it is in the wrong section. Because I'm still unsure.
Problem PC is my uncles. (The PC details I have used to register with are his - I actually use an HP DV6.)
So this stupid packard bell...it freezes/requires force closing whenever anything at all is deleted. It shows the delete bar with the perpetually moving green progress marker but then nothing will happen, this can happen so that several items are 'deleting' but no progress is made. Like I said the Windows Explorer has to restart to allow it to progress.
I have run: chkdsk /f and this didn't sort it, I manually deleted the recyle bin - didn't work either.
So any ideas how I can fix it for him?
Cheers chaps.
