Solved Dns server not working.

hello guys..

im having problems using all my browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE) to surf the internet. it seems that my internet is connected, even the uTorrent is working, however i can't access to some website like google and yahoo. surprisingly, facebook and twitter is loadable.

some browsers tell that it couldnt connect to the primary DNS server.

PLS HELP! thanks very much!

Hello plsk and welcome to the forums

Can you do a few things for me please:

Please download this batch file and save it to your desktop:

View attachment Flush DNS and restore HOSTS file.bat

Then run this batch file as an administrator. This batch file will reset your internet connection, flush your DNS and restore your HOSTS file

Then run OTL for me please:

OTL

Download OTL to your desktop.
Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed to let it run uninterrupted.
When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
Under the Standard Registry box change it to All.
Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.


Once OTL has completed its first scan it will save notepad copies of the scans in the folder that OTL was started from. Unless set to produce an Extras log it will only produce OTL.txt in subsequent scans.

A copy of an OTL fix log is saved in a text file at

:\_OTL\MovedFiles
in most cases this will be C:\_OTL\MovedFiles

after the flushing, my pc is asked to auto shutdown and then after restarting, im asked whether to restore or run the computer as normal. which should i choose?

btw, thanks for the welcome. :D

so, i have downloaded the batch file and running it. everything seems working well, pc has restarted. however, i cant access the OTL due to the main problem i stated above that some websites cant be access. the below shows what i see when using Chrome

Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.

hey, all my browsers are working fine right now. i found out some of my friends are facing this problem as well, so i guess this is due to our internet service provider. thanks for trying to help me anyway.
