Solved Enabling cookies to login

Super noob here

I just fired up on windows vista with IE 7 after many long years on win95 and 98.

I searched but did not see this exact problem. I was trying to login to my amazon account and it said I needed to enable cookies to get in. Over the course of the next 2 hours I was finally at:
Norton shut off.
Cookies enabled with all amazon sites they listed in as trusted sites.
Cookies cleared and new window opened.

I still got the same error.

Any ideas?

Allow Amazon into your Trusted sites, goto Tools>Internet Options>Security>Trusted Sites>Sites and input the following into the "Add this website to the Zone"... Http://*.amazon.com, this way, any of the amazon secure sites are in your trusted site. I may not be totally right here but this is how I have it and I have no problems with it.

After you have done that, click OK, click on the "Privacy" tab, then on the "Sites" button and insert the same text above and click on ALLOW, click oK and do the same thing for "Settings" button on the Pop-Up side at the bottom of that page.

Thank you both. Apparently I need to read some more tutorials, I had my date set incorrectly. That fixed it.
