Failure Security Options

I have just got a new computer which came installed with Vista Home PremiumSP1 and a trial version of Kaspersky Security Suite 7. However, I am having to use my old XP computer to post this thread because my new one has crashed and is going back to the repair shop tomorrow. I got the following error message just before it crashed.

Failure Security Options.


Log on process has failed to create the security options dialog.

I should be very grateful if anyone can advise me on what might be wrong.

Hello, Yorkshire. It's probably too late now. You must have sent it to the repair shop already. My suggestion would be : start in Safe Mode, do a system restore using the date before it crashed as restore point. Then check the Security Centre to see what is the problem. It might have something to do with your Kaspersky.
