Font display issue.

Hi all,

I'm having some trouble with my desktop and web browser fonts.

See how the letters are misshapen, most noticeably the 6.

My desktop fonts are also too bold when I boot up, which I can fix by changing the theme (every time I boot up) this fixes all the windows fonts but web browsing stays in this annoying misshapen style which makes reading hard with certain fonts and sizes and colored backrounds online.

Any help would be much appreciated as its starting to drive me nuts.

Give this a try, right click on desktop, personalize, display. Then use the links in the left hand pane, to make changes.

Thanks for the quick response

I have changed and changed back most of the display setting already in the hunt for a fix, but no luck.

Any other ideas?

Thanks stoneys-nutz, I may well give it a try if I find no other fixes, however "I’m not responsible for anything that might happen to your system (or life) if you decide to apply it. I’m sure incompatibilities will spring up" puts me off a little.

This is a problem which I've only had for a couple of weeks, its not a problem with the fonts in general, but something that has somehow corrupted along the way.

I'll leave it as it is for the moment, unless I can find an easy fix i'll just go for the full reinstall at some point.
