Fullscreen game problem

Hi guys. Whenever I run a game that is fullscreen and i exit out of it, i run the risk of having a low resolution desktop. Normally my screen resolution is 1680x1050, but sometimes when a fullscreen program is closed, the resolution defaults to 800x600. This gets really frustrating and I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem:(

Hi & welcome,

I would suggest you update your graphics drivers as a start.

If you need assistance with that, what is your graphics card make & model number.

PS
It would be of great help to me & others, if you completed your system specs in your profile.

You know the dell model?

Unless you have a dedicated card, the motherboard "card" is the one you'd have to update.
