Help with downloads!

Hi there, can anyone help me with my downloading problem. For some reason in the past few weeks, I cannot find any downloads. I have assigned the downloads to go to several different locations/folders and they are never there although it says download complete. I also click run and it goes through the download but then never starts up. I have never had any issues with this until recently. Any help would be appreciated!

Did you change the settings of your security program or firewall recently or did you install a new security program.
