help with movie maker 2

HELP!

I enjoy creating videos with the old windows movie maker but now that I have movie maker 2 I am so confused! I am trying to import video from my external hard drive it tells me there is a error.

":\My Videos\Andromeda S2\Andromeda 210 The Prince.avi could not be imported. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."

This is confusing me because it looks like its imported but when i click on it too create clips it gives me that message. Is it because its a avi or because its coming off my external? If someone could help me that would be awesome!

I checked were you said and nothing is helping. I have tried changing the location the name of the file, the extension, I have tried to convert it. I have tried to download extra codecs and nothing is working help!
