We have a computer from a former co-worker. We need to access it for a new employee. How do I bypass the password? I have tried hitting F8 to get into the safe mode, but that brings me right back to the welcome screen

You can't bypass the password, but you perhaps can change it. See the following: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/102005-reset-user-account-password.html and try Method Three to reset the password of that user account and thus gain access to the system.

i am lost! I have to create a disk on this computer, to use as a boot disk for the computer that I don't have the password for? Why can't I go in through the safe mode?
