Solved history

hi, where abouts do you get your history of websites that you have visited, i knew for windows xp but not for vista, im new to this, many thanks

They should be found in the following locations :

Cache: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low
Temp: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp\Low
Cookies: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low
History: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\History\Low

thanks but is there not one button which shows your history the way windows xp does

Have you looked in View->Explorer Bar->History?

Depending on which IE version you are using it should be located to the right of EDIT...

i have a different layout i dont have a file edit or view

You'll have to bear with me as I don't use IE...try right clicking on an open part of the tool bar and see if those options are available in the context menu.

Failing that you can add the menu bar back to the top of your IE7 ~ http://www.tech-weekly.com/2007/06/enable-menu-bar-in-internet-explorer-7.html
