Home page loading slowly

My home page and my e-mail have started to open very slowly. Google is my home page. If I click the IE icon on my desktop, then close the page and reclick, it opens right away. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Fred, no I do not know the cause, but you can probably figure it out. Try to load in safe mode. If it works use the clean boot procedure to find the cause.

It sounds like there is software trying to load when you try to open the page.
