Well, it's been a Short 3 years since the last hurricane to hit New Orleans..
Tonight is the night, Everyone Hope for the best, or if it's your thing, Then Pray for the best.. I'm hoping things don't get too badly trashed. for many reasons, for all the progress everyone has made, for everyone in the middle of Rebuilding there homes and lifes, and for the people that had to once again leave there home and Flee from the Hurricane. Even worse is the people that had to flee there "So Called Homes" that are FEMA Trailers.

So God, or Mother Nature, or whoever. Be with Louisiana The next 36 Hours.

We will see in the morning and late tomorrow how everything turns out. This storm is supposed to put New Orleans under about 4-8 ft. of water. When Hurricane Katrina was about 25 Feet of Water. So there's a big difference, but we never know what might happen.

If anyone has thoughts, or info. Or even good pictures or satellite shots of this, Please feel free to post, or comment. or saw what you want.

Don't you think it's time that you guys abandoned these low lying coastal areas in the hurricane zone, it must take a massive toll on the people as well as the economy.

I must admit I will be tuning in to Fox news when this thing hits, just to see some stupid reporter stood in the middle of it trying to do a report in 100mph+ winds while dodging debris

Ya I don't know why they don't stop building there.. but in regards to New Orleans, that city is a very big tourist attraction and a very big part of the income for the state of Louisiana.. they can't just leave it there, crashed and ruined to die off, Sooo many people call it home, and always have. but I see your point. Many of the houses are a good 6 or more feet from the ground. That might help a little bit, not to mention the Levy's that broke a few years back are back and stronger than ever, much better than the Katrina Storm.

either way we will just have to wait and see.

one of if not The greatest super power on the planet ...leaves one of its cities to rot in a 3rd world state ...yet they have no problem ferrying troops & resources half way across the globe

Ya I know huh... The goverment screwed that one up. very badly but wont let it happen again thats for sure. and I'm with ya. Screw out government.

Can't have Flat roofs cuz it rains to much.. they would have to angle them somehwat or they will leak and ruin, collapse. stuff of that nature.

Update* This Morning the Hurricane is now lowered to a Level 2 Hurricane instead of a level 3. thats great news as the wind speeds and water fall is not much smaller. great news for that city.

What gets me is they want people to donate and the feds to rebuild their homes everytime.....

ya i know i know.. I just dont' understand that crap. at least this time Bush is "Acting" like he cares. so he's there and talking and trying to help. He's probably just in the way. They should lock him in the Closet.
