Import WLM messages to Windows Mail

Hi again

You need to change the setting for "TEXT" first. Same principals & procedure.

Once the HTML is setup-up you can change the "TEXT" settings back to 76 & "Quoted Printable"

Sorry.

I wish I had some good news for you, but that didn't work either. The "Text" setting is retained, but HTML still reverts right back to 76.

I just tried something and found that if I leave the HTML settings at "None" after I up the number to 132, then it stays in place. But if I change back to "Quoted Printable" then it reverts to the 76.

Hi,

All I can say is "It will stay", see below.

Windows Live mail HTML wrapping.JPG

Please keep trying various option but I think you have the basis to make it work (The setting screen above is grayed out with 132 set).

I did as described in the two posts above & it worked, OK?

I think you need to apply the setting changes for "Text" & then change them for "HTML" & apply again.

It's now holding at the 132 with "Quoted Printable." However, it hasn't made any difference in these emails that I can't forward so that they retain the embedded images/photos on them.

Hi,

As a suggestion please turn off the the "Indent message on reply" in an attempt to keep the line lengths to a minimum & stop the line or carriage returns.

Let me know if that helps. Otherwise I'm afraid its back to Office Outlook & Hotmail connector.

The "Indent message on reply" wasn't checked.

I got two new emails with pics from cuz today and neither of them would go through.

He tells me what he does before forwarding to me is copy whole page and paste it up on a new email page. I wonder if he's always done that and if that could be the problem??? I tried that, too, --- copying and pasting up on a new page --- and I still get that message about the pictures.

I went ahead and re-sent those two emails to myself even though it said the pictures wouldn't be there. Here's what happened.

Below, where the pictures are supposed to be, empty boxes with red X. But across the top all the pictures appear and a person can click on "View slide show."

Hi,

Yes that is correct. The email HTML code is broken by WLM by inserting line or carriage returns instead of leaving it as a continuous bit of coding i.e

Like this: -

<TD COLSPAN="2" ALIGN="left" VALIGN="top" WIDTH="318"><FONT CLASS="body" SIZE="2" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Geneva,Verdana,Arial,Helvetica"/><B>Billed To:</B><BR/>

Not this

<TD COLSPAN="2" ALIGN="left" VALIGN="top" WIDTH="318"><FONT CLASS="bodyCR
SIZE="2" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Geneva,Verdana,Arial,Helvetica"/><B>Billed To:</B><BR/>

Inserted carriage return CR breaking the coding.

Your pictures have always been there just as attachments & not encoded into the HTML page.
