Hi I have windows vista 32 bit laptop. I have not had but this but maybe 3 months. My prtsc key does not work on this and I need to know how to get it working. I write tutorials for paint shop pro and it would be so much simpler if I could just use this one instead of having to use an outside print screen version. Can someone pls help me with this I am not sure if it something that needs to be fixed in the registry or even where to look or how to set it up so that it does work. TYVM in advance Rie....

I googled this. Hope this helps.

  1. Step 1
Locate the "print screen" button on your keyboard. It will likely be in the top row of buttons and marked "prt sc". If your keyboard has prt sc on the lower half of the button, to activate the print screen function, all you may need to do is press the button for step one. If, however, prt sc has a circle around it, then you will need to push the "fn" button (next to control and alt at the bottom left of the keyboard) at the same timehttp://www.ehow.com/how_2245593_screen-function-vista-operating-system.html# that you press the prt sc button:[fn+prtsc]
  2. Step 2
Open the Paint program. On the edit tab, select paste.
  3. Step 3
Save the image to a file. Hint: to make the image smaller, press control w, and change the top two resize boxes to 80% in both the horizontal and the vertical box. Hit enter. This will resize the image to a size that is convenient to use for email attachments or as inserts in document projects.

You can try a key remapper to see if the key works in that program.

sorry 4 leaving you hangin Rie, somethings took me by storm.

You probably solved your issue by now I hope. When I push the prtsc button on her laptop it does as my desktop does which is it captures an image of the screen into memory then it can be pasted into a paint program or whatever program.
