laptop without lan? how to connect?

hi i have always set up my wifi net connection by connecting modem to router then router to laptop. perform set up then remove ethernet able connecting wifi to laptop and laptop connects to wifi? how do i perform net set up on laptop without lan port?

any ideas much appreciated thanks

Need a buit more info.

Is this a new router? If so, there's a pin number writen on it. When you try to connect, via the wifi conection.

Old router, again through the wifi connection icon, just add the passkey.
