logging off cycles monitor

I've never seen this before. If I log off Vista64, it insists on cycling my monitor. The power clicks off, then back on. Then I can click the icon to log back in. Really weird.

I have never heard of this before, has it done it since you have had the computer or is this a new thing. It sounds as if the driver may be resetting causing a temp loss in signal.

iirc it didn't happen when Vista set the screen res to what it wanted during setup. But when I set it to my usual 1280 x 1024 it does it nearly 100% of the time. The video card on this system has 3 outputs and I'm using VGA output since I have a kvma switch. It's not a big deal but I've been using this switch for years and never had this reaction with any other setup. Guess it just doesn't like that screen res.
