Need help and fast!

I am currently having a lot of difficulty with my laptop, for some reason when i try to type something it doesn't type it does short keys like (eg. i press h and it opens history) it wont type at all at times, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't is there any way i could fix this please help!


i am running:

Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit

Are you catching the Ctrl key by any chance? Holding down that key and pressing H opens the history.

no im not touching the control key at all im only trying to type and all the buttons open up different windows

Absolutely. Some spilled coke will do that. Jerk it a bit and see whether comes loose.

i have never spilled anything on it, its not stuck like that i can press it and stuff but i think it is stuck below the keyboard somewhere because it doesn't appear stuck. Is there such thing as a CTRL lock and if there is how do i turn it off

See if pressing both Ctrl keys at the same time unlocks it.
