I try to install vista i can get to the Language select screen and usb mouse and keyboard stop working is there a work around any help would be awesome

What machine are you trying to install on? What is the Motherboard, processor, etc?
It sounds like you are using usb3 ports. Vista does not have much support for usb3. Try usb2 port or ps2 ports.
