Solved Need Vista Help

Hello,
i have Windows Vista Ultimate. I activated it once. Now i am going to buy a new PC and i want to activate my Vista on this new PC. Is it possible, or i have to buy a new Vista for that?

Hello Kasya,

It depends. If you have a OEM Vista, then it can only be used on the computer that it was first installed on. If you have a retail Vista, then you can install in on any one computer you like at one given time. Since it is being installed on a different computer, you will probably need to do a phone activation if it will not activate normally.

As Brink mentioned you will have to activate it by phone if you install it on the different computer. Once activated on the second PC you can't use it on the first one. It doesn't matter which edition of Vista you have.
