New member & vista owner

I enjoy the Blackberry Owners Lounge so much, that I thought I would join a forum for Vista Owners.

Well this is one of my favorites, not a shortcut yet, I will see how it goes first. Lots of questions to ask. Guides I have used so far:
1. Windows Vista Bible
2. Windows Vista The Missing Manual
3. Windows Vista Step by Step

I know the XP blindfolded. It is the computer I have at my job.
So, I thought I would learn the Vista, it is a personal computer, Inspiron 5100 laptop. I am using Xanadoo modem.
Great connection (if you have it in a SW location).

I work for a large inbound call center here in Lawton Ft. Sill, OK. And was recently working for Comcast Tier 2.5 tech support for the Florida area. Currently working for Cox Communications for KS/AR, Vegas, New Orleans/Greater LA area's, as a Tier 1 tech support. Billing, Cable, and Tier 1 tech support.

So, any pointers on the Dell Vista laptop Inspirion 5100 would be great assistance.

Right now I am having issues with the copy/paste feature, of course I keep reaching for the mouse. Just starting out, I need a battery back up first, and maybe even a router (any suggestions on your favorite brand) and then think about adding the wireless mouse, printer and other goodies.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Or send a private message at your convience.

P.S. Cox Communications is not available in my area, otherwise I would have taken advantage of the employee discounts.


Update I have went to a NEWBEE to a JR member in a matter of minutes!!

Welcome to the Vista Forums

I too frequent the "crackberry" forums, since I am an a admitted crackberry addict. I can't get enough. I need my fix. Even in the middle of the night, I turn on my Blackberry just to see its background

Anyway, if I can help you with anything, just say the word. Been around a while, if I don't have the answer, I know somebody who does!
