Outlook vs Windows Mail

On XP i used outlook for an address book. Here i stored not only email addresses but addresses and phone numbers. Come christmas time i exported all the addresses into a mail merge and printed of labels to stick on envelopes. My question is can this be done in vista without outlook as i only have the basic office pack and no outlook.

To use your contacts in this fashion, you're need to use Outlook. Programs such as Word or Excel know how to to this with Outlook, not Windows Mail.

Oh well. Thanks for your help anyway. May look to buy outlook 2007 then.
