i dont know much of details of computers but i know enough to see i need to increase my main drive size .
i bought a of the shelf computer from argos (no install disk just preinstalled)and now its c: drive is filling up but i do have a E: drive that is mostly free , it has no files on there but after looking around its where all recycle bin is stored for c: i want to shrink it then extend c: but i dont want to lose recycle bin ect and was wondering if its safe to do the delete and then extend, this is because shrink then extend doesnot work any help apreciated.

details

c:123gb of 327 left (looks alot but i have removed then reinstalled programms when needed so its not full

e:583 of 591 left (no files even with show hidden files) but its where recycle bin is

main point is it safe to delete then extend then recreate a second drive

If you move the recycle bin out and your sure its empty then it should be safe.
