Solved PC started then died...

I created a new user name on my HP Pavillion PC and restarted it. A blue screen came with a lot of writing on it. The screen went black before I could even read some of it. At the top before the screen went dark, I caught some words that said file dump.
The PC is still running, I can see and hear the fans and the monitor is still on. Anyone know what might have happened?
Hard Drive failure?

I started the computer and this time the windows log in screen shows. I restarted again, this time the screen is just black.
HDD? Video card? Power supply? I don`t have another PSU to check with.

Are you able to consistently get into the BIOS screens?
I was thinking, being able to display the BIOS screens at least indicates basic functioning for everything except the HDD...so then it might be the HDD, or the PSU power tap for the HDD.

Well, the PC is working fine now. It was the strangest thing. 3 times it was just a blank screen. I started it, went into the BIOS, looked around and checked connections. Everything looked fine. Took the PC back upstairs and re-connected everything for the third time. Now it is running fine. :huh:

Happens when after restarting it can go back to last known working configuration
