My neighbor's daughter has a Sony VAIO laptop with a failed HDD. It first presented as a BSOD with Unmountable Boot Volume. There was hope, but now the drive has failed entirely.

Cash donations will be accepted, but a replacement hard drive would be more expedient. Please direct all inquiries to this address.

I registered here last night (thanks Brink) before I had the the laptop in my possession. The user reported symptoms that I was unable to duplicate.
