Problem with folders..

This has just started last night and I have no idea on what to do..any folder I open is just blank, computer,network, control panel, etc all open up blank.

please help !

Do a system restore and see what happens.

Havok92, do not worry we will sort this out:

Turn on System Restore. It cannot help you in this situation, because it was off.

Once that is working, try to type cmd in search. Do not hit enter, run as administraor.
In the cmd prompt type this sfc /scannow. Does that fix your problem? If not there are several other potential remedies.

Lets not do anything until SR is fixed, however.

reset associations with folders: Reset and Fix Broken Windows Vista File Ext and Type Associations (Include EXE, COM, SYS, ZIP, LNK, Folder, Drive)

scroll down that page to the list of associations and look for folders, download the .reg file and run it.

if that doesnt work, then try enabling hidden files: How to see hidden files in Windows


see if this works.
