problem with my start menu

hi guys,
pls i have a problem with my sony vaio laptop and its getting on my nerves.my start up menu keeps coming up by itself while am doing somethg else.
i tot it was a virus,i did scan or virus but didnt find any virs on the system.

if i wanna type and pressing some keys like 'r' just take me to the run command tabloid.cant really do anythg with my laptop now.its fraustrating.pls f you know what i can do pls do help.

Hello Aorire, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Pressing the Windows key will open the Start Menu. Are you sure that you are not pressing it by mistake, or if it may be stuck pressed down any. Some mouse models may have a button set to open the Start Menu as well.
