:huh:my product key is on the certificate of authencity at the back of my laptop but when i try to enter it in microsoft powerpoint, word etc.... it always says that it's wrong. please help! i really need microsoft office before it gets blocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and when i go to help it says that it should check for a sticker at the back but it says it is wrong!
can some one please help?

The product key on the back of your laptop will be for windows itself, you need to find the office key, this should be somewhere with your laptop documentation.

Does the sticker say it is for Windows? or Microsoft Office?

Hello Safiya, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Unfortunately the Microsoft Office installed on OEM computers are usually just a 60-day trial version that requires you to purchase it after the 60-days to continue using it. Unless you have a separate sticker for Microsoft Office, then this is most likely the case.

edit ........... i put up a link to open office i was told it was free , but after trying to d/l it myself it seems not??
