Recovery

My computer was running very slowly and was generally unstable. So I took drastic measures and created system recovery discs and did a system restore. I assumed, stupidly perhaps, that all my files -- docs and pics -- would be part of those recovery discs. I think i was wrong, now that I'm looking for those and can't find them. Is there a way to get them back? Seems logical that they'd be somewhere, no? Thanks.

Well, hello, and welcome, so you did a what kind of restore ? All way back to factory default ? or a restore point ?

Unless you saved them, you are now back at factory default OS then..

just doesn't make sense. wouldn't there be a way to go back to the way it was?

You went back to Default OS , did not save anything, what more do you expect ?
