regedit. How to save and restore register in Vista 64 bits ?

Hi all,
I have to reinstall properly Sony Creative software. So Sony tell me that I must use regedit to delete some keys. But support warns me that I must save register before deleting. And if i make errors, i can restore it.
How to do these operations ?
