I am going crazy... every few minutes, the screen reverts to a "switch user" logo....Vista 64.... Starts after being logged on for a while...doesn't happen at first....Help!!!!

Nothing seems to work; disabling fast user switching only removed the "switch user" text; not jut have the logo with the username and "locked" below.

Help, help, help. I will have a psychotic break soon.

A possible solution.

All the screen settings that I could find, I set to the maximum -- never, 2000 minutes, etc. -- and that seems to have done the trick.

Perhaps the OS is corrupted someway. I have SP2, (original installed OEM) and an SP1 disk but can't figure out how to try and repair it.

Any ideas would be warmly (especially in this weather!) appreciated.

UPdate on the screen problem. The problem continued although not as severe....had to restart several times.. a/c to event viewer, a loggoff occurred....

But...after running sfc 3 times as suggesed, that seemed to take care of it..
