Should I Update To SP2?

I have it in Windows Update, but I wanted to ask you guys, is it worth it to do it? My computer is really only used for gaming and such, and I've heard it causes issues...

Also, if I installed it to 4%, then clicked 'cancel' do the 4% of files get installed, or at least do they not actually come into effect unless it's completely installed?

Hi DrKillPatient, in regard to your question "if i installed it to 4%" if you are meaning downloaded 4% & cancelled then no all that would have happened is a part file would have been created in Software Distribution which windows update should add to if you wish to continue with the download at a later date. If you did start the installation and then canceled it you may have problems in particular with drivers. During a service pack installation drivers are reinstalled so a cancellation could leave you with a problem driver. To check this go into control panel then Device Manager and you will see a yellow alert if there is a problem. If so you may be able to do a system restore (pre service pack installation) i do not know if this will work otherwise you will have to reinstall the problem driver. :) I hope your problem is simple and you were refering to only downloading 4%. I mean that I clicked Install in windows update, then cancelled it.
I did a system restore to a slightly earlier date immediately after just to be safe. Everything seems to be working fine.

I installed SP2 on 6/10/09 all is well so far, if I run utorrent and try to surf, IE8 and FF is very slow

Different people have had different experiances. The only real way to know is to install it and try it out.
