Solved stalled windows update-HELP!!!

Can anyone help me? I have a stalled windows update! There is an icon in my taskbar telling me a windows update is installing and is at 50%. however this is as far as it goes. I cant find a way to stop it and cant find it listed in the control panel to remove it-Any ideas anyone?
Im running Vista home premium 32 bit on a Toshiba satellite: AMD athlon 1.99GHz dual core with 2.0GB ram
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try this & then reboot.

Copy this file to your computer & then,

Right-click on the file and choose "Run as administrator." The program will delete the files in the Vista update cache.​
