I'm trying to find out how to determine what programs start @ boot up. When I look in the start folder there is nothing there. I just want the minimum programs to start on boot up and not everything. Can anyone help?

Hi warreng,

Welcome to Vista Forums!

Go to Start and in the search box type msconfig.exe and enter and double-click on the program icon that appears. Go to the Startup tab and you will see all the programs that begin at startup. Uncheck the boxes on any you don't want starting at startup, click Apply, click OK, close msconfig, and reboot. The programs you unchecked will no longer start at startup (and will not be started since you rebooted).

I hope this helps.

Good luck!
