System crashes

Hi everyone!

Bought myself a new computer some weeks ago, and have since then experienced random system crashes - both while gaming (freeze or restart), while watching videos (freeze) and while surfing/idle PC (it's frozen when I come back)..

I'm running Vista Business x64, and I've tried alot of solutions found on the internet, all without luck.. In the beginning I thought it was my GPU, but now I've tried some stress tests with all different drivers (correctly removed and installed), but it never crashes..

So, maybe it's a registry fail? Don't know how to check this, except CCcleaner.. Haven't tried that yet, though.. And I keep trying to find the dumpfiles on my comp, but can't seem to get a hang of them..

OS: Vista Business x64
PSU: Mist 650W
MB: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
RAM: OCZ Platinum Dual Channel 4GB i5
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD4870 1GB DDR5

If any other information is necessary, just ask =) It's really annyoing having spent a lot of money on a new computer when I can't make it work properly.. If someone could help me out here, I'd really appreciate it! =)

Bump... =)

Still having the same problems, but having spent the whole night in front of the computer (without WinAmp or sound at all) with no crashes, it looks like it may be the audio drivers or something.. Any ideas on how to check this? Thanks..

Obviously it isn't the audio driver causing the problem.. Reinstalled and updated drivers for audio and graphics, checked temperatures before and while playing (or using the computer at all, since the problem isn't only gaming related), installed all of the windows updates (except for a .net framework update which is listed as failed).. No luck at all..

After 3 posts, someone has to answer, right? =)

btw. What is this WinDBG, and how does it work? Can it make my problem disappear? :D
