2 weeks ago, my Windows Vista desktop broke down. It isnt a hardware problem, just lacking some boot up files. I wanted to do a system recovery, but at the same time, I want to keep those files on my desktop. So I went and install a bootable window xp on it. I managed to extract the file I wanted, however, now I cant do system recovery to turn it back to my original window vista! I clearly remember installing the windows xp on a drive that is not the recovery drive.
Now what can I do? Anyone have any idea? Is it possible to somehow download the files needed for a recovery?
