System Restore

I started my computer and a Blank screen Showing only the cursor worked, I read an article that someone had posted and followed the instructions to the system restore, but when it asked me for the username and password i typed in my password but it wouldn't accept it. HELP.

Try rebooting in safe mode. If you still have a problem there is a hidden admin account that can be turned on.

hi i tried the system restore it said that no previous points have been saved, to create one open System portection, i clicked system protection and it said that it wasnt an option because i'm running on limited diagnostics. What do i do now?

Backup your files if you haven't already..

It's to late to create a restore point now. You will have to use a recovery disc or the vista install disc to fix the problem. Just put the disc in and reboot. If your using a recovery disc its going to restore your computer to factory and you will lose all your files but if you have the vista install disc you can try to repair the installation.​

i just want to know about the vista disk i have it and i just need to know what to do with it now

If you want to try the vista disc, just stick the disc in your computer and reboot it and your computer should boot from the disc then you should see an option to repair...(I've never done this because I have recovery discs so I can't be more specific)
Otherwise it sounded like you were able to boot into safe mode right, put the hotfix on usb drive, boot into safe mode, extract the hotfix from the zip folder onto your desktop and double click.

HELP IM GOING CRAZY, i keep getting the same problem when i try booting safe mode or not i only see the cursor
