trouble adding attachment

Hi Folks, I seem to be having trouble adding an attachment to my message,I was responding to a member having trouble hooking up to the internet, I tried to send a diagram but its not showing up in the message,I click on the paper clip browse in the popup box, highlight the diagram, click upload bit it does not show up, I tried in my regular e-mail and have no problem,Is vista forums having a problem, or am i doing something wrong, thanks, patch 41

When you click on the paper clip, you will notice bottom left there are limitations on the size of the attachment as well as the type.

Thank rich you for your advise,tried resizeing attachment in paint, didn't work, then i checked the file format and sure enough it was in a bmp format, I opened the attachment in photo elements and saved as png and it worked, I had copied the diagram on my hp scanner, and it stores the copied documents as bmp, is there a simple way of changing the file format, or is the way i did itthe best way...thanks, patch41

Depending on the software that you are using on your scanner depends on the different options for saving, there should be a configuration setting that allows you to chose the format that the scanner software saves to the HD. What software and scanner are you using?

Hi Roy69, Its a HP Officejet pro 7500, thank you for asking, with your promt, i looked into it a little more and found under options i could change the file format to that which is acceptable to vista, jpeg, i thank you for taking the time to respond.patch41
