Upgrade XP professional to Vista ultimate

I am trying to upgrade XP professional to Vista ultimate using the original MS CD. I faild on 3 different hardware platforms with the same error:
2025-05-22 17:54:04, Error [0x08084f] MIG Failed to update C:\Windows\Temp\tmpBA6.tmp\tmpC5E4.tmp
2025-05-22 17:57:45, Error [0x08030a] MIG MigDoMigration caught exception: class Mig::NavigatorRootAbsentException: (no exception message provided).[gle=0x000036b7]
Is there anybody out there that can acutlly read the upgrade logs ? I attached them here. I would be thankful for any hint. I have a whole bunch of machines to do..

You asked a similar question in your 25-Jun-2025 post # 10 of ljubisa86's BSOD when upgrading XP to Vista.

You might want to review the suggestions offered in that topic, including my 29-Jun-2025 comments in post # 15 about some of your MigDoMigration errors. After reading your replies in ljubisa86's topic I'm still not clear if you are using MigWiz (WindowsEasyTransfer) or some similar tool to try to perform the upgrade.

Did you ever try a clean install of Vista using a 32-bit or 64-bit ISOs for Vista slipstreamed with Vista Service Packs SP1 and SP2 plus all security updates released prior to end of support on 11-Apr-2017 as I suggested in post # 18? I believe @wither 3 still hosts copies of SIW2's slipstreamed ISOs on the MEGA site.

Hey Imacri- oldest and I have been discussing his problem in a private message before (and since) I suggested creating a new post. I was going to suggest a new installation using one of the ISOs you refer to but he's trying to install Ultimate 32x and I'm not sure that's on one of the ISOs I have.
