User Profile Service Failed Logon

There is no bak in the file name though

Per the tutorial that you were given: try System Restore.

I did not forget about you, although this may be the last post for the night. That tutorial that I gave you is excellent, it has helped very many. Look carefully for that .bak. Every thing good that I find online makes reference to it.
