Ive reallly done it this time. SO i will try to start from the beginning. I have a sony vaio vgn fz290 from 5 or 6 years ago. a month ago the screen went black. I pulled off the bezel and pluggd a new lcd into the inverter to determine if the inverter or the screen was bad. the other screen did not light up so i orered a new inverter. it took a month to get from china. i installed it and the computer worked for a day. then i woke up th next day and the screen was black. i was hitting keys tryinging to turn it off and on and it was black. then i shined a light on it and saw that in the background there still was an image and i realized the lcd had gone bad. i ordered a new part and installed it. THENNn the computer wouldnt load. it would go to a BSOD that had the above named error. when i go into recovery mode all the hardware passes but when i want to do a system restore it says no OS found on drive. Im thinking its lookign into the wrong partition or something but im not skilled enough to figure this out. i have a vista boot cd and iran it. when i go to repair no OS shows up. so from there i went to command prompt and ran chkdsk f. now it is "replacing invalid security ID with a default security ID for file" and doing this for 500,000 files so far. did i just lose all my data?? i havent backed up in so long and there is SOOOOO much irreplaceable work and personal files. Can someone PLEASE help? I will donate a nice donation if someon here can help. thanks so much.
