Its capable of gaming and currently has a T5500 CPU in it. But is it better for gaming than the T2400?
Here are the specs of the CPU and my memory and GPU:
Socket M
Intel Core Duo T2400
Speed: 1.83GHz
L2 Cache: 2MB
Core: Yonah Intel 64?: No
FSB: 667MHz
Intel Core 2 Duo T5500
Speed: 1.66GHz
L2 Cache: 4MB 2MB Disabled (can i enable this somehow?)
Core: Merom Intel 64?: YES
FSB 667MHz
Laptop Memory is Maxed out at 3072MB 2944MB + 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1450
So in short: T2400 has higher clock speeds but no 64bit capability and the T5500 has slower clock speeds but 2MB disabled cache and 64bit capable.

No, they will be about the same speed. The t2400 is a different internal design than the t5500. This make the t5500 a smidgen faster at the same clock speed. So, by being 200mhz slower in written speed, the performance speed will be the same .
