Solved Why does the Winows Live Section of the forum have a different folder icon?

Why on the main page of this forum does the Windows Live catagory have a different folder icon to the rest of the catagories?

I'm using VF default.

All the icons are the same in VF default (hard coded) and the only way they can be any different is if you browser has screwed up

Somehow I don't think thats true (I'm sorry to contradict an Admin here but I have proof). Attached are two screen shots of Google Chrome running on Mac (but I have found this true with Safari for Windows and Mac, plus Safari for iPhone too).

It appears that when not logged in (using the unchangeable VF default theme) the Windows Live folder icon appears to be the same as all the others, however when logged in to Vista Forums using the (VF default theme) the Windows Live folder icon changes to the one in the first screenshot.

The first attachment shows the folder icon when logged in whereas the second shows it when logged out.

Can you explain this at all? Is it just me?

Just wondering, and maybe an admin knows, but when I look at it in default view, the folders with the blue-ish border show forums with "new posts".

The change in folder appearance changes based on if there's new posts since you last read them, and when you're not logged in, it can't do that, so it shows them all as having new posts.

At least, that's what I see on my end. I use one of the more fancy looking skins, and the icons are different....ones with new posts in them are in color, and ones without don't have color and are just grey.

Oh that!!! that means that all the posts in that section are marked as read or more than x days old.

BTW if you double click the icons you can mark the individual forums as read.

In addition, if you are using a skin where the icons are shown in colour, marking them as read will remove the colour, as in the example below. Here I've marked the forum Browsers & Mail as read.
