window size

32 bit Vista Home windows open in minimized size. Closing them in maximized size, but they still open small.
Anyone know how to open them in maximized size?

You need patience, but IE will learn eventually.

Right click on the IE Icon, not a short cut
Properties
Run maximized

Then every time it does not work, stretch to full size, click to make full size and when you do close go to file and exit. Do not use the right hand, upper, red X.

Never close a screen without doing this. Be careful when a new screen opens from clicking on a link, in a web site.

Will take time, do not get discourgaed, will work

Now get ready for many other suggestions, from others, which may or may not work, but I know mine will.

Easy way is to open, expand with the double box icon, hold the shift key down and close with the X box. Will open max after that every time.

After that it doesn't matter how you close them it will work.

Good for you....it didn't work for me.

Well, lets hope that is the only thing that doesn't work on your computer.

The other way to do it is to open the window and then manually increase the size by putting your cursor on one edge of the 4 sides and dragging it out to the edge of the screen. Then doing the same to the 3 other sides of the window. Close the window and when you reopen it, it should be full size. If it isn't, do one or two more times. Vista is supposed to 'remember' the size setting after you do this.
