Windows explorer constantly hangs and crashes no spyware clean install.Have looked all over and tried many differnt things to fix this and nothing helps also my quad core cpu maxes out for no reason.Any help would be great.

Does it sometimes / usually happen when you right click? If so I doubt you solve it. I have a huge thread started about this and it never was solved. :huh:

If not explain the issue more in depth, please. :)

Thanks guy's I decided to just go ahead and install vista 64-bit it is not an oem and is much more stable.I will definitly check out the thread though thanks.

As soon as you booted into you had this problem? Or did you download updates? What was installed when you started experiencing this problem? If re-formatting didn't fix it then its something you are adding to the system, or its an update.

No I downloaded my updates and added app launcher to sidebar wich I'm starting to suspect because it always freezes and goes black first also have high cpu usage after it crashes for no reason with nothing running will remove applauncher and install vista service pack 2 and see if that helps been seeing alot about an update causeing this problem might need to track that down to.

Post back with results. Also, I have heard that some 3rd party sidebar gadgets do not integrate well.
