A couple of weeks ago Windows Live Essentials 2011 was Launched and I am happy to say that it is Stable, good Looking and Quick and easy to use. I think Microsoft has definitely made some good software for it. Please post your Reviews

Josh,
I already have Windows Live Essentials installed around March 2008.
I am using the most current version of WLM, 14.0.0416.
What do I need to do if I install 2011 WLEssentials ?
Is the conversion automatic, particularly regarding my WLM ?

It has many more features than The normal WLM and instead of having multiple Windows of conversations they are placed in tabs in one Windows another Beneficial is that it is mainly based around Social Networking so if you have Facebook you can chat to people Via WLM and you can browse your social feeds through MSN

I am sorry.
I am used to type WLM representing Windows Live Mail, not Windows Live Messenger.
My question was " do I need to do anything about my Windows Live Mail 14.0.0416( not Hotmail ) which I have been using since 2008. Is it going to be converted to 2011 version automatically ?"

Hello Djch129,

Yes, when you install the new version, it will automatically replace your current installed version without losing anything or having to set anything afterwards. It will have all of your old version's settings and accounts in the new version. :)

I am sorry I must have miss heard you as brink has said yes it will replace it with what microsoft has Incorperated in most of thier programs known as The ribbon
