Windows Movie Maker Confusion :(

HI, nice to meet you I always used windows movie maker and this one I have on vista is Version 6. I have a vista home computer (HP) and all was well with WMM then suddenly when I was making my music videos as I watched them as I was making them they seemed to run ok then after saving the video didnt run with the music anymore as I wanted it to
I wanted to un-install and re-install to see if it solved the problem but it isnt in the Uninstall a program list, then I downloaded windows live movie maker thinking this was the same and it isnt and I dont know how to get rid of that either lol.
That doesn't matter so much I just want Windows Movie Maker to run as it should do, instead of lagging behind to the music after saving, any idea what I could do? thanks.

A lot of people with this problem have downloaded third party software to get around the sync error.
